Shipping, returns & care.

How to order, how we ship, and how to look after your stoneware.

Shipping

Every piece is packed by hand. If you pay in the cart, shipping within India is shown there and paid with your order. Otherwise we confirm the shipping cost and delivery time for your address before you pay. We ship across India and can arrange international delivery on request.

Returns

We accept returns only when a piece arrives damaged. Send us a photo of the damaged piece in its original packaging, by email to info@parables.in or on WhatsApp, within 48 hours of delivery. If you can, take the photo before you unpack it fully. Once we've seen it, we'll send a replacement or a refund.

We can't take returns for a change of mind, or for differences in tone between pieces. Tone comes from the firing and is not a fault: no two firings agree.

Use & care

  • Ready to use. No soaking. No seasoning. This body does not drink.
  • Hot and cold alike. It will not seep, soften, or hold an odour.
  • Wash as any ceramic. Scouring will not harm the surface.
  • Nothing added. The clay body has been tested at CSIR–CGCRI. No lead or cadmium added.
  • Avoid sudden extremes, as with all fired clay. Don't take a piece from cold straight to boiling.

FAQ

Is unglazed stoneware safe for food and drink? Yes. The body is vitrified, so it does not absorb liquid, and nothing is added to it: no glaze, pigment, flux, lead or cadmium.

How do I pay? Where the cart offers Pay now, you pay there by card, UPI or netbanking through Razorpay. If you order on WhatsApp or by email instead, we confirm availability and the final price, then send payment details.

Is every piece exactly as pictured? Each piece is made by hand and coloured by the kiln, so tone and size vary a little. One-off pieces are unique.

Are prices in other currencies exact? The cart shows the currency your order is billed in. When that is INR, prices in other currencies are estimates for convenience.
